    The 26th season of "Big Brother" premieres this week on CBS with a two-night special on Wednesday and Thursday.

    CBS earlier this week announced the cast of 16 houseguests for the season, which features a crochet business owner and a former undercover cop, among others.

    The season's theme, "Big Brother Artificial Intelligence," was also recently announced.

    And for the first time ever, houseguests will have the power to vote in a 17th houseguest this season.

    “From summer camp, to tech, to the multiverse, 'Big Brother' loves to put a twist on topical and pop culture themes,” said executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan in a news release.

    “This summer’s ‘BB AI’ theme promises to bring the fun, the comedy and the unexpected game play that is a hallmark of 'Big Brother.'”
